Effective 2011, enforcement officers from LTD and the Royal Brunei Police Force will take action against owners of vehicles that fail to abide by the regulation. The fine for non-compliance is not more than $1,000 for the first offence and not more than $2,000 for the second offence or imprisonment of not more than three months.
